Going along Esino valley it is possible to visit some charming abbeys. It is necessary to signal Santa Maria of Moie di Maiolati Spontini abbey, built at the end of the XII century, whose church has been restored in the years 1923-24, Sant'Apollinare abbey of Monte Roberto, maybe the oldest among all the abbeys of Esino valley and finally the abbey of Santa Maria della Castagnola of Chiaravalle, founded by the Cistercian monks of Clairvaux in 1126.
