Ostra Vetere, anciently called Montenovo, is an old medieval centre characterized by a terrace urban plant. The spires of Santa Maria dominating the village: the building was made between the end of ‘800 and the beginning of '900 and is of a great impact thanks to the presence of the high bell tower. The historical centre is rich of civil buildings among which the Poccianti palace of the Renaissance period. Even the Municipal palace is really interesting and is composed of a civil tower inside which it is possible to see frescoes and canvas.
