I'm in: - home page > Jesi

Jesi, whose origins are really old, is situated in the low Esino valley, sorrounded by walls of ‘300. It was a Roman colony and became a free Town Council in the XI century. Jesi was also the town of Federico II of Svevia and G. B. Pergolesi, with the homonymous theatre in 1798. Very interesting are the Cathedral, dedicated to San Settimio, patron saint of the town; Baleani palace, example of local baroque; the ‘700 monastery of San Floriano; the Signoria palace, with some paintings of Lorenzo Lotto; the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, going back to '400.
