Cupramontana, the centre of production of the Verdicchio Classico dei Castelli di Jesi, offers a wide view towards the pre-Appenines mountains: San Vicino, the mount of Murano and the Gola della Rossa, and far, the mount Catria. At the origin of Cupramontana toponym, there is the cult of dea Cupra, a rural goddess of Piceni, that the Romans worshipped under the name of dea bona, to which belong the ruins of a temple come out in 1910-11.
