Castelfidardo was founded in the VI century and has been a free Town Council since the XII century. Passed to the Church in 1281, it was newly conquered in 1354 by Albornoz. It belonged to the Malatesta and the Sforza and therefore definitively in the XV century, from the Church. The Town Council is known for the battle of the 18th November 1860, ended with the victory of the Piemonte army on the Pontificio one. To visit is the commemorative monument of the Battle of Castelfidardo, by Vito Pardo, Collegiata of Santo Stefano and the Museum of Fisarmonica (accordion).
